Trains

Train from Valencia

The Oropesa station, Plaza de la Estación Oropesa, is connected to the Valencia-Barcelona line and as a result runs straight from these destinations.  If flying in from Valencia it is now easier than ever to get to Oropesa by train.

On the ground floor of the Valencia airport is the underground shuttle service.  At the ticket office ask for "Xativa" this is the station you will get off at.  The green line goes there, so check the route maps to make sure you get on the right shuttle.

Once on the shuttle get off at the stop Xativa, be attentive and make sure you count stops, sometimes the trains are so busy that you cannot hear your stop nor view the station name.

Once out at Xativa look behind you as your right next to the train station of Valencia.  From here get a train to Castellon (the regional express is only around 3 euros but takes over an hour, the direct Castellon-Valencia train takes 30 minutes but is 16 euros so the choice is time or price).  Lastly when in Castellon take the train Castellon to Oropesa.
